Kindergarten is the beginning of a wonderful adventure! This is where we hook students on learning and take them as far as we can go. My students are always great friends who enjoy engaging learning experiences. This project is for our whole kindergarten team (three classrooms). Unfortunately, our school serves a majority of low income students. This doesn't stand in our way of learning but does limit the amount of manipulatives and tools we have to use. We get by with a little help from our friends!
My Project
I want all of my friends to catch the Math-Mania Bug! These wonderful math resources will take our learning from paper and pencil to hands-on and active. I strive to provide lots of math manipulatives and games for my students to be highly engaged with, but our resources only go so far. The Lakeshore kits and Magna-Tiles will be used to reinforce our math concepts in a fun and interactive way.
Imagine how powerful math play can be to solidify math concepts in the classroom.
When my students are engaged in their work with these resources, I know their learning will really stick!
