My Students

My first grade students are amazing and full of knowledge. They are smart, caring, and creative. Working with all different types of technology such as tablets, computers, and interactive technology games brings excitement and an eagerness to learn.

All of my students are unique and learn in different ways.

Every day, I am amazed at all that my students contribute to our lesson of the day. My students have a variety of learning styles and needs. Using computer based programs allows them to work at their own pace to succeed.

My Project

Chromebooks are a wonderful addition to the classroom. The Chromebooks I am requesting will help my students stay engaged, become independent, and have the opportunity for individualized math enrichment. With time my goal is for every student to have a Chromebook.

By having Chromebooks, students can learn according to their needs and thrive in a technology driven world!

My school uses programs like IREADY which allows the students to work at their own pace towards their own specific learning goals. It uses diagnostic tools to find their areas of success and areas where they are struggling. Varying lessons and activities are specifically geared to their needs. Chromebooks will be used for whole group and small group instructional needs.

At the present time, I currently have forty students and 6 computers. Additional Chromebooks will allow me to provide more opportunities for ALL of my students to get the time they need on awesome Math programs everyday.
