My Students

We are a school of about 600 students, ECE-5th grade ranging from general education, gifted and talented, to students with autism. My fifth graders are hard-working, quirky, and strive to excel at the tasks set before them.

This environment will prepare them for the schooling, jobs, and the future that lies ahead of them.

I will have sixty amazing students next year in my platooned subjects of math, science, and social studies. I will have 30 kids in my writing class as well. I am so thrilled for these exciting changes.

My Project

I am so excited for this upcoming school year because I will be teaching math, science, and social studies to advanced 4th and 5th grade students. I am also going to change the format of my math class to best differentiate and benefit those advanced learners through Math Daily 3 - Math by Myself, Math Writing, Math with Someone. So with these changes, I am looking for materials to help push and stimulate the advanced math student.

Math Daily 3 is a framework to structure math time so students develop deep conceptual understanding and mathematical proficiency.

My goal is to use math magazines to further develop this independence and personalize learning. Please help me achieve this goal by donating to our classroom.
