Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I am an energetic kindergarten teacher to 25 wonderful students! I teach at a school with very limited funding and the children all are from low income backgrounds. I am very pleased to say that my students are demonstrating great enthusiasm for learning math. I have nicknamed our math instructional time "Math Madness!" The children love working with manipulatives and other hands on math materials. I am asking for materials the will make math even more fun and interesting for my students. These materials are greatly needed to assist me in reinforcing their math skills. The materials in which I am requesting are great to help keep the kids focused and excited about math. These materials will allow for whole group as well as small group instruction. The students will significantly benefit from these new materials because they will provide a newness to "Math Madness!" My goal is to maintain their enthusiasm by introducing new math experiences. My students and I really appreciate your time and consideration. Thank you for taking part in "Math Madness!"
