This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a teacher at a newer school that opened up last year in a high poverty public school district. My students are faced with many challenges in their home life, even at a young age. Despite their challenges, I am looking to provide my students with a safe space that is rich, loving, and filled with meaningful learning experiences in the classroom. I am striving to meet each students’ needs. My students face many daily challenges, but they still need materials that will positively influence their love to learn and grow.
They need materials to be creative, interactive, curious learners.
My students always make a huge impact on my life, and I am trying to make a huge impact on theirs by giving them opportunities, materials, and experiences that will last a lifetime!
My Project
These materials will make a huge difference in my students’ learning. It will provide them with engaging resources so all students in my classroom are able to learn the information that will build their foundational mathematical skills. These materials will give them visual and tactile experiences to gain the instruction they are learning during circle time, small groups, and free choice centers. This will help reinforcement their skills and give them endless amounts of learning opportunities for mathematics, social-emotional, and cognitive development. These materials will help them develop an understanding of mathematics by providing my students with a high-quality, challenging, and accessible mathematics education.
My students learn math by exploring the world around them and these materials will increase their mathematical learning and development!
The Early Math Instant Learning Centers - Complete Set, Magnetic Math Activity Tins - Complete Set, Write & Wipe Thin-Line Markers - Class Pack, and Light-Up Math Activity Centers -Complete Set will give my students hands-on, interactive, fun, and engaging resources to learn and demonstrate their knowledge of increasingly harder concepts. The materials cover their number sense, measurement, patterns, geometry, analyzing data, addition, subtraction, and more. These sets will help build the math foundational skills my students need to be successful for the rest of their lives!
