Math Lab: Mathematizing with Intervention and Enrichment
Help me give my students grade level manipulatives like dice, ten frame counters, dominoes, etc... to supplement their math education with purposeful hands on activities that target math fluency and concept review.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a Title I school located in Pasadena, Texas.
About 700 students enter our halls everyday eager to learn.
We serve a diverse population of multicultural and bilingual students. Most of our students come from low income homes and are on free/reduced price lunch.
We have several special programs that service students with special needs from early childhood and on. Our students are challenged on a daily basis and school is often the only safe place they have.
My Project
My students love Science lab where they use practical experiences to build on grade level concepts. Much like a Science lab, our Math Lab will provide students with a safe, numeracy rich environment where students can roll-up their sleeves and get much needed practice. Close to 700 students (k-4) will benefit from the differentiated math activities that will meet the needs of all our students.
The math manipulatives I am requesting will provide purposeful hands on activities that target math fluency, automaticity, and concept review.
Ten frame activities will help develop a strong foundation of number sense for our kinder and first graders . Colorful dominoes, number tiles, and dice will help engage all our learners when practicing math facts for fluency. The requested math items will liven up our Math Lab and provide additional support to students.
These tools will significantly impact my students' academic achievement by engaging them on a daily basis. Students will be thrilled to use these items to sharpen their math skills and build their confidence outside the confinements of the traditional classroom.
