My Students
The children I work with are a diverse group of students who bring a wide range of experiences and needs to the classroom. They enjoy learning that is joyful and connected to personal interests. All of them are growing as individuals and becoming more and more confident in their abilities every day!
My Project
The Hand2Mind math fluency kit contains a variety of colorful, inviting materials that can be easily manipulated by children to help them think flexibly about numbers while developing strong competencies in core math concepts. It also includes forty mini-lesson activities that can be taught quickly and practiced in short blocks of time, allowing for the daily practice of new skills and strategies.
These materials will make a difference in my students’ learning by helping them to engage in the learning process through tools that provide the visual and sensory feedback they need to be successful and are flexible enough that I can make individual kits to be used in-school or remotely.
