Help me give my students calculators, puzzles, games, and manipulatives to help improve their math skills in a fun and innovative way.

My students absolutely love learning. They walk into the classroom every day eager to dive into a new lesson. They always begin each day striving to do better than the last. They are constantly asking if they can read longer and do more work. Additionally, my students’ parents are extremely supportive and hardworking. They truly want the best for their kids and use our school as a resource.
I teach special education in a resource room with amazing students who come from a low-income neighborhood in Chicago where 98% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Unfortunately, our school cannot meet all of their needs as we do not have the funding to buy the supplies to help them.
My students need math manipulatives to help them increase their understanding of difficult math topics. They need calculators to both learn more life skills as well as double check their answers. The Positional Words Resource Box will serve as a way to both teach positional words as well as strengthen their ability to follow directions. The game will require them to follow the instructions to move the objects into place, and then flip the cards over to check their work. The Giant Magnetic Regrouping Chart will allow students to place the coins to visually represent each number in the problem, then regroup the coins to work out the answer. The Tactile Numbers Match-Ups will help my kids understand both identify numbers and quantities as it requires them to match numbers to quantities—then trace the tactile surface of the number with their finger to build pre-writing skills.
Your donations will help my students improve their skills in math in a fun and visual way!
