My Students
I am a teacher in a low-income/high-poverty school district in Pittsburgh, PA. My students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. Although they have many struggles, they do thrive in our classroom.
My students enjoy being in a safe and educational environment.
I want them to believe in themselves! Since they are all low income, they receive free breakfast and lunch daily. All of the children are ages 3-5 years and come to school for a 6-hour day. They are greeted daily with a positive attitude and a loving environment.
I hope to make a positive impact on their lives and hope to watch them succeed as they grow and move on to other classes. They deserve to have great experiences and know they can become successful every day in and out of school.
My Project
Please help give my students the opportunity to learn math through fun games and manipulatives. These items will help all my students during small and large group activates as well as in centers. My students will be introduced to money, measuring, counting, quantity, and more. With these manipulatives, we can create fun and amazing centers. The plastic bins will be used to create centers for groups of students that need more one in one area. The games and manipulatives will be used for all students on all levels. There are so many different activities and games that will make learning fun and interactive.
