My Students
I have 22 beautiful, curious and creative tiny humans. My children see themselves as readers, writers, and problem solvers. They enjoy coming to school each day and leave excited about what we will be doing the next day. Our classroom is a community where the children are valued, connected to each other through shared experiences and able to grow in a positive learning atmosphere. By building a classroom community that physically and emotionally supports these beliefs, I have children that support me, care about each other and work together beautifully.
My Project
My sweet Kindersprouts love exploring math with blocks and cubes and rocks and anything they can move and manipulate. They need wonderful concept books about numbers and counting to go alongside our math manipulatives
Please give my class the opportunity to read stories and songs about counting while they explore with math manipulatives.
While they are creating a zoo with blocks and wooden animals they are referencing "123 At The Zoo" by Eric Carle and counting the animals in their zoo! The possibilities are endless! And we are linking literature and math.
