My Students

My second grade students are fun, energetic, playful learners. They are eager to try and experience new things. However, in our small community, new experiences don't happen to the majority of them very often, and when they do, they happen here at school.

As a teacher, I want my students to succeed not only in my classroom, but in the world outside of my classroom.

I want to give them experiences and learning tools that will give them a knowledge that will open doors for them they might not have otherwise.

My Project

My students love our Osmo games. They play them all of the time and strengthen their spelling and spatial skills. My students will love having these new games (Pizza Co., Genius Kit, and Numbers Game) to enhance the Osmo experience. They will be able to work on fractions, number skills and money skills with these new games. Those are areas that are very hard to find but are the most needed in my classroom.

The Osmo is a great learning tool.

It helps my students strengthen their math skills and not realize that they are doing it, through playing games. They are competitive enough that they play them frequently and with great enthusiasm. The problem before was that they weren't meeting the greatest needs of my students until now!
