This is a Title One school. We have a high number of students receiving free and reduced lunches.
I have a wonderful group of students who are thrilled to be learning new techniques and concepts.
I want to open their eyes to a vast world waiting at their fingertips.
My students know that I will challenge them to be their personal best. Students need to learn about not only our own community, but the world. Instilling a life-long love of learning is my ultimate goal.
My Project
My students need hands-on manipulatives to help them succeed in math. Our math curriculum is fast-paced and my students need to be able to see math examples in real-world situations.
Many students come to class without basic school supplies.
To be able to provide these amazing tools to utilize in our classroom will be beneficial to student success.
Placing my students into small groups to focus on specific standards-based skills will help give them an advantage for future lessons and instruction. Utilizing the individual size whiteboards will help when we are drawing out images to go along with our problems. The large dice will be used in multiplication speed games. The dice will be utilized to work on addition and subtraction, multiplication, and more.
