Help me give my students flexible seating options and supplies to be successful in math intervention. I love the metal stools because I can fit more students around the kidney table for direct instruction.
I have an amazing class composed of students from many different ethnic and racial backgrounds. Their diversity brings rich and varied contributions to the classroom every day. My students are also diverse in their learning styles and capabilities. Some are always on task, while others have ants in their pants. They always give 100% effort and show our core values Embrace, Serve, and Reflect! I want my students, and your children, to have every possible resource available to them to help them meet their needs academically and socially.
My Project
Most of my students are diagnosed with some type of learning difference. These students sometimes struggle with focusing and staying on task when they must sit still for extended amounts of time. I chose the stools and seat cushions so students can work while also getting their wiggles out. I share a classroom with 4 other teachers. The tennis balls will go on the bottom of the stools and chairs so when my kids leave they will not disrupt the other students in the room who are working. I love the bands for the students who might want a regular chair, but still needs to work their energy out. I want my students to be as successful as they possibly can be, and these basic school supplies will help them to achieve this.
