My students are in 8th grade Algebra 1 and Math 8 class. Many of my students have struggled with math in the past which is why I love teaching math. The differences in their math background allows my students to look towards each other as a resource to help them learn.
This year I've started to incorporate different seating option into my room and the students love it.
I'd love to add more seating options into my room.
My students are very active and we often do group work. My goal is to add more flexible seating options such as wobble stools, more yoga balls, and various chairs to the classroom.
The flexible seating options allow my students to sit in a place where they can move and work at the same time. By adding additional flexible seating options, I am able to give more students the options to move and work.
My Project
My students love to move around while they work and the wobble chairs allow just that. The wobble chairs allow my students to let out energy while not distracting others.
Being able to move while working is critical to helping my students to focus.
The exercise balls are a very popular item in my classroom and students have been benefiting from bouncing while they work. I'd like to add more to my classroom to give more students that opportunity.
While some students like to move while working, some of my students like to stretch out on the floor. The yoga mats would provide a place for them to as well.
