My students are hardworking, curious nine and ten year old fourth graders. They are Washingtonians who spend 5 to 6 days a week, yes some Saturdays too, working to achieve academic success at a Title I school in a large urban community. You can find us in our classroom learning math and science from 8:45 a.m. until 5:45 p.m. My students are two classes of around 20 students, whose needs range from English Language Learning, Autism, ADHD, and other special learning needs. My students are the future, and they are full of energy and curiosity.
My Project
My students work had to learn new math concepts. The math in a flash is a set of activities in easy to use cans that will help students review math concepts at their own pace. Word problems are always a challenge for students so the math star word problem game will provide a fun way to practice. Are you ready for 5th grade? Just the title of this game will no doubt make it a favorite with my students. The dry erase boards will help students work out problems and practice fluency, and the dry erase magnetic graph chart will help me draw and model math and science concepts for the class. The magnetic folder bins will help keep these resources organized and easy to use. These resources will bring fun and knowledge in a flash.
