Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students consist of a Bilingual Spanish speaking class with a mix of third and fourth graders from different countries. They all come from low income families with limited resources. My students are motivated to learn even though they have limited life experiences.
Though they live in the poorest congressional district in the country, they constantly surprise me with their motivation and enthusiasm.
They are eager to learn and always have an inquisitive mind. I am lucky to be their teacher because I learn from them as much as they learn from me. I get to find the diamonds in the rut.
My Project
Education is changing every day and so are my students. I continue to receive students from different parts of the world in my classroom some have never been to school. Help me spark their interests by providing them with games they can use to learn the background knowledge they need to succeed academically.
These math games will provide my students with the motivation needed to learn math facts needed to succeed as mathematicians.
Help me educate the future mathematicians of the world by providing them with the opportunity to work in rotating stations with the use of math games. These file folders games will serve to review key knowledge learned with the teacher. The multiplication and division cards will help students learn their multiplication and division facts.
