My students amaze me every day. We are a combined middle school and high school self-contained unit with 13 students. My students are hard workers and are always ready to learn new things. However, my students also possess challenges with sensory, emotional, behavioral, and academic issues. Our school is a small, tight-knit community with 60% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch.
My students work hard daily to learn life skills to become independent members of society.
We are working on job placements within the community for our students to provide them with real-life work experiences while still focusing on rigorous academics within the classroom.
My Project
My students need a variety of ways to learn and master math concepts and skills. Utilizing math games allows my students to practice these concepts in a fun, engaging way! My students often receive outside services such as OT/PT and these games will allow the other students to continue practicing these concepts regardless of the number of students present in the room.
My students will enjoy playing bright, interactive games while learning at the same time!
Besides math skills, these math games will benefit my students' ability to improve their social skills and learn to work together as a group successfully.
