My Students

I am a special education teacher who works with two schools within one building. One school, the majority of kids I serve, is a Title l school with over 75% of the students coming from low socioeconomic households. The other school is a magnet school focusing on multiple intelligences. We run small groups in our resource room every day.

I teach all academic areas, but have a passion for behavior and social skills instruction, focusing on social-emotional learning.

I run daily behavior/impulse control groups. We also work with students in all academic areas. In our classroom, we serve students with all different disability categories such as ADHD, Autism, Communication Disorders, Intellectual Disability, Sensory Processing Disorders and more.

My Project

We have been having amazing results teaching reading in our room! We have also really been focusing on math instruction, but it can be dry and repetitive, at times.

Help me make math fun with cooperative math games that focus on a variety of skills and levels!

Our students have to work harder than everyone else to access their education and they deserve learning to be as fun as possible!

Some of our students are still working on mastering basic math facts and number recognition while others are working on multiplication and division. These games and resources from Teachers Pay Teachers will help all the various skill levels!
