Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a Title 1 school, which means that a big majority of our students are economically disadvantaged. Due to this, our students lack life experiences that are taken for granted. I want to do more and give more to these students for their learning. What students know from their home life isn't always what will help them in the society. If I can give them just a little will always be more. These students are eager to learn and will leave a sparkle in their eye.

These students are a piece of me and I feel so much more that a teacher when we can open doors up for their learning.
My Project
My school is a PK - 5 grade elementary. While over 75% of the students in our school suffer from poverty, that never gets in the way of them being the best students they can be. We are in need of multiplication flash cards, place value sets, visual multiplication models, Zoom multiplication card games to help students learn their multiplication. All of these can be used in whole group or in partner work.
Learning math should be fun and exciting for students.
My students deserve the best, and I hope to give them that every day.
Students deserve more that what I can provide for them. We were heavily impacted by Hurricane Harvey in August 2017. We need these items to help assist with their learning. They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them. Their sense of humor and innocence is everything that is right in this world. They are our future and I want to give them a great start to help them have a long successful career.
