Help me give my students real world math skills practice with a cash register, resources for banking, and digital math resources for my nonreaders.
This project expired on January 20, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are unique individuals who are the sweetest souls. They work very hard on a daily basis to learn life skills, soft skills, job skills, and social skills.
I am one lucky teacher to be greeted by them each morning as they either get off the bus or get dropped of by their parents.
Some of our best conversations happen during this time as I get to hear about their night and the fun activities they do with their families.
Teaching these students is a dream come true!
My students learn math skills by applying real life skills. Students learn best using hands on materials such as a cash register for our classroom store, digital math resources for my students who are nonreaders that include pictures, and resources for my students who will learn banking skills.
These resources will allow my students to grow further.
My students learn best in small groups by using real life materials. They enjoy lots of movement around the room with the materials requested.
These materials will allow my students the opportunity to use pictures when solving math skills and identifying symbols they will see in the world outside of school.
