Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school saying is, "Better today than yesterday! Better tomorrow than today!" I want to make their tomorrow better!
My class consists of a diverse group of learners.
My class has 26 second grade students of varying abilities. The socio-economic background of our students is reflected by our 97% free and reduced-price lunch rate.
I teach in an urban inner city school rich with diversity. Most of my students need additional learning materials to meet grade level expectations. Please help me to make tomorrow better for them!
My Project
Math Fluency is important to master in early elementary grade levels. Students need to master adding and subtracting to 20 in second grade. Students will move onto multiplication and division in third grade and in order to be successful must know addition and subtraction fluency to 20. Each grade builds on the prior grade level.
Being able to use ETA Hand To Mind Fluency Kit with my second graders would help to build numeracy skills and strengthen their fact fluency skills.
My students need to master math facts in addition and subtraction to 20 by the end of Grade 2. I spend my entire school year building numeracy skills and strengthening their math knowledge. My students need to have automaticity with math facts to 20. We take timed tests weekly to build up their stamina and show their proficiency levels. We play math games to learn to add and subtract to 20 with ease. Please help us by donating to bring this ETA Hand2Mind Math Fluency Kit to my second graders! They would enjoy having this Kit to help them reach their goal in Fact Fluency to 20 and beyond!
