My students need more math file folder games that will push them to think deeper in geometry, counting and place value, measurement and operations.

My Students
In North Charleston, South Carolina, my school is labeled as "Title I." My students are labeled as "low income," or "high poverty." However, inside the walls of my room they are just "my kids."
Yes, these boys and girls will have some obstacles growing up with little resources, but I do not want that to be the case inside my classroom.
I am so proud of my students-who they are now as curious six and seven year olds, and who they will become and what kind of impact they will make on the world. I want them to have access to everything that can help them further succeed. With your donation, I will be able to provide those resources, and I want to thank you in advance.
My Project
Through your past generous donations, my students have resources to help them learn to read. My focus is presently on those students who are doing math on grade level. What now? It's time to push them further, and enrich their learning!
As a teacher, my goal is to constantly challenge all of my students; I need math resources on a higher grade level to do so.
I want to push those who are already applying first grade math skills to dig deeper into the mechanics of mathematics- through the best way to reach a kid...games! Lakeshore has created these amazing activities that focus on very specific math skills. I can pull students in small groups and use these resources to help challenge them. Students will then use these File Folder Games for independent and partner practice throughout the year.
