2 + 2 = 4. A fact committed to your memory helps solve larger more complex problems. My students need more supplies and materials to help them learn more math facts and build their fluency to help solve problems and build math skills in the classroom.
I have a class of 18 students who love to learn and have fun learning!
They love math and enjoy participating in Math Workshop! Our school has a diverse population with students from various economic backgrounds. We have 74% of our student population that receives free or reduced lunch and many students who need a lot of support in the classroom. In my classroom, I have many students who struggle with their learning and need extra support to help them get to where they need to be at the end of 2nd grade. Math facts are a key foundational skill they need to support their math learning.
My Project
With the purchase of these materials, my students will participate in a Fast Facts station in math workshop each day. They will use the materials to help practice and improve addition and subtraction skills and build math fact fluency. With the puzzles, flash cards, and other materials, the students will have fun while learning math!
