Help me give my students a Calendar Math Activity Program and storage boxes to provide a great opportunity to achieve in learning and grasping required math skills.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have the pleasure of teaching in a small urban neighborhood school. Our kiddos are from a diverse and colorful neighborhood. We have many cultures and backgrounds represented. They are growing and learning in a tight-knit environment that relies heavily on the school for books and other resources.
My students are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners.
They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are budding leaders, doctors, scientists, inventors, and teachers. They are our future.
My Project
The Calendar Math Activity Program will help my students better understand the skills they are required to learn in kindergarten. The calendar is a hands-on tool that they will use daily. It will help with the days of the week, months of the year, addition, subtraction, graphing and many other skills that they will have to learn during the school year.
The storage boxes will help keep the materials together so we can use all of the items year after year.
I'm sure my students will enjoy daily use of the calendar and the storage bins with tops.
