I teach in a suburban neighborhood school in Meridian, Idaho. My school is amazing and we have many great programs that students and parents love. Our parent population is very supportive. The staff at my school is incredible and is dedicated to the students.
My 2nd-grade classroom has 29 wonderful students.
They continually impress me with the way they care about each other and support each other. They are excited to learn and I am thrilled at the progress we have made so far this year.
My Project
These materials will be used to teach advanced students concepts that they would learn in the next grade level. It would allow me to give my students exposure to new material once they have mastered our 2nd grade concepts.
One of my goals as an educator is to challenge all of my students.
Having access to these materials will help me meet this goal. I believe every child has the right to be challenged at his or her level. Too many times some students become bored in class. Or worse yet, they never learn to persevere through difficult content because they are not appropriately challenged in school.
