Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
For most of my children, this is their first experience being away from home and being separated from their families. Being away from home is difficult for most students but compounded with the pandemic, it can be a traumatic experience, none the less they come to school each day, full of energy, curiosity, excited to be here, and ready to learn and play! To them, school is a place where they feel safe, loved, and valued. This difficult transition is also affected by their already existing life circumstances.
100% of our children come from low-income households and receive free breakfast and lunch.
I believe that every student can learn, grow, and master educational skills to be successful. I am so blessed to have students who are passionate about school and excited to learn.

My Project
These math manipulatives will be wonderful in our math centers. After being introduced to them, our little ones will be able to practice patterns, counting, number identification, sorting, and measuring in centers all while having fun. These materials will allow our little ones to count, identify numerals, and learn about measurement.
By funding this project, you will be giving our little ones the opportunity to learn and practice a variety of preschool math skills including counting, number recognition, measuring, and patterns.
Learning basic early math concepts, in fun and exciting ways, will help my students to begin a love of math.
