I teach kindergarten on the south side of Chicago. 85-88% of the students qualify for free lunch. Many of the students come to school with very few basic skills. I find that teaching with the use of big books is very helpful. The students are more focused and engaged when I use big books. I am in need of big books for teaching math concepts. Childcraft has five big books for math covering graphing, shapes, telling time, and measurement, all kindergarten skills that have to be mastered. I feel that these books would greatly enhance my math lessons. I teach 26 students a day. These books would capture their interest and help them learn basic math concepts and vocabulary in a fun way that all the students could easily see. The books I am interested in obtaining are from Childcraft, 6G561223, $124.75. Thank you very much for considering to fund these books.
