My Students

My students come from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in Brooklyn, NY. They often lack many school supplies needed to do creative and fun projects. My co-teacher and I supply students with basic supplies, but would appreciate any help to help support their learning and creativity.

My students are kind, sweet and very thoughtful.

They strive to succeed and do well. They always try their best! Even with whatever challenges they may have, they always approach most obstacles with a smile on their faces! I am very proud to be their teacher!

My Project

My students are smart, amazing, and work so hard. A lot of my students are tactile learners and benefit from using math manipulatives to help them practice the skills they learned in class. I have many students who are English Language Learners and students with disabilities, if they have access to different types of math manipulatives, they can learn in different ways. Hands-on math materials can support students in math. Students can identify learning new math concepts through problem-solving and the ability to manipulate concrete materials, such as with jumbo colored cubes, place value cubes, number lines, or ten frames.
