My students need interactive and independent math centers and games that reinforce the skills learned during instruction such as the Beginning Operations, Numbers & Counting, and Shapes & Measurement Folder Games.
My Kindergarten students are outstanding children who love to learn in new and exciting ways! They are always putting in extra effort and putting their best foot forward. I teach some ELL students with a few students who are new to America as well as to learning English. My students struggle to learn new math concepts and I am interested in using interactive resources and materials to help them better understand math concepts such as counting, addition, subtraction, and patterns.
My Project
Mathematics is such an interesting subject area that translates across many countries, languages, and ability levels. Math instruction for beginning learners can be a daunting task because it is imperative to lay the foundation for number sense, counting, shapes, and beginning concepts before moving on to more difficult skills. These math folders are interactive centers for students to use independently or in small groups to reinforce the skills taught during instruction. The goal is for my students to retain the knowledge taught during regular instruction and use it on their own with these centers and potentially teach the skills to struggling learners as well.
