My students will be 5-year-old Kindergarten children. Our school is currently being built. Our community is growing each day. Many students are nervous about coming to school. Everything is new. Many of just moved to the area and are transitioning from their old community to our new growing community.
My students need math centers and pockets charts to practice mathematical thinking skills and problem-solving skills while they work with a partner.
These centers are engaging and will reinforce skills needed.
My Project
The centers and pocket charts will help students in daily centers.
After a lesson is taught they will be able to practice a skill and provide me with much needed small group time.
The set will provide access to content and mastery for kinesthetic learners. It will also assist students that need extra support to stay engaged and focus.
Play is an excellent way to reinforce skills, as well as increase student engagement and retention. My young students have a lot of intervention needs. I need to spend time with small groups in order to provide crucial differentiation and one-on-one support.
