My Students

My students are such an amazing group of little learners. They are curious and adventurous as they explore the wonderful world of second grade. Their smiles and laughter make me the luckiest teacher. My students come from all cultures, areas, and various incomes for an opportunity to learn and thrive within the district. My energetic second grade students enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore.

Most of our students come from low-income areas.

Our students face many challenges both in and out of the classroom, but despite the many challenges they face, they walk into our classroom every day full of life and ready to learn. Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student meets their full potential.

My Project

I am asking for help with creating fun and engaging math centers.   I am asking for Equivalency Puzzles and Math Instant Learning Centers. This will make planning centers and small groups a lot easier and less time consuming since all of it is already put together for me. These centers can either be used in small groups (centers) or individually for students.

Hands-on centers allow student choice, facilitate student motivation, and provide targeted practice for students to reinforce the math skills taught.

The centers come with everything students need to complete super-involving activities that cover a wide range of math skills—from patterning and counting to addition and subtraction.
