Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our middle school students come from diverse backgrounds. My Math Club Tigers are creative and full of questions! I have awesome students with great motivation. They work hard and love to learn. I would like to have an impact on their bright futures. Most of our students' parents and families live in poverty and struggle to meet their basic needs.

My Project

I beleive that math centers provide an opportunity for learners to practice and apply ability taught within the classroom. Teachers have the chance to work individually or in small groups to fulfill the particular needs of students while learners are engaged in meaningful centers. It is significant to build a community of learners so that students will be able to work independently at centers since you will be engaged with other students during this time. Also students can be scheduled at centers using a self selected system. I have seen how choice can positively affect my math tigers achievement. I really appreciate your assistance in making this a reality.
