Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Can we PLEASE do math centers today, Ms. K?!" This is a question I get asked every day. My students absolutely love math centers because they get to play games with other students while reinforcing important math skills. My students desperately need math center materials because I have very few.
My students are amazing.
They are full of life and curiosity. They love to learn and socialize with one another ( sometimes too much). All of them come from low income families, some being the fifth or sixth child. Spending just one day with my students will really show you how truly awesome they are.
My Project
I agree with my students that math centers are amazing, but for a different reason than why they like them. Math centers allow me to work with my students in small groups and really help them understand a concept they might never understand in a whole group setting. Having engaging and educational activities for students to rotate to during math center time is essential. While I'm working with a small group they are learning and having fun. It's a win-win situation!

These kids deserve to have nice materials to work with at their centers, so I'm asking for your assistance to help provide it for them. Without math centers I truly believe my students won't succeed in math! Please help my students become the best mathematicians I know they can be!
