My students need a Chromebook to access and review material such as Khan Academy, their grades and assignments that are posted on our school management system Schoology, and a way to make math fun!

My Students
Our students are in a Title 1 school. We have a very diverse student population with a high percentage of Hispanics. Our school celebrates cultural diversity as well as student success in all forms.
As a charter school, our students come from many surrounding areas, some are bused while others carpool, but they all come because of the great learning environment and experiences they have come to expect from our institution.
Although we focus on academics, we also offer many after school activities and sports. Extra-curricular activities allow students to interact with each other in a way that can be hard to create in a classroom setting.
My Project
Having Chromebooks will allow my students to access Khan Academy. This will give my students access to many different teaching and learning styles, providing more diversity for their learning than I can provide on my own. Providing every student a way to learn in their own learning style is critical to their success. I value the option to have students use technology in a way that gives them immediate and individualized feedback. My classes are far too large for me to do the same in such a short time frame.
Have seen how excited students get about using Chromebooks in the classroom?
As a math teacher, I can use any buy in that I can get to help my students feel excited to learn mathematics. In addition to using Chromebooks in the classroom, students can check out a Chromebook and review their online grades, missing assignments, and access our online management system, Schoology.
