Help me give my students a treat to encourage them to complete activities for trophies. These activities help fill in missing pieces they need to be on level for math. Thank you for helping me to encourage them!

My Project

The Trophy Challenge is not a graded assignment. It is an attempt to build reading and math skills within students. It is also meant to build stamina.

It is a personal challenge that students set for themselves based on their performance on a pre assessment.

It is not designed to be a competition among students or classes. It is simply setting a goal for oneself and attempting to meet it in a community that expects and supports the same of all its members.

While its desire in the long term is to build positive intrinsic motivation, many of these students need extrinsic motivation through the process. Here arises the need for donations. Students will be able to receive small prizes as they go through the process to met their goal. Students that meet their student set goal will receive a larger incentive at the end of the school year to be provided through a partnership of the teacher, parents, and other community stakeholders.
