This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

This is my 5th year teaching 6th grade. My students are eager to learn new concepts and to do projects. This is there last year in elementary school before they move on to middle school. They deserve the best that can be offered to them in their learning environment.

After 15 years of working with students in Salinas, CA, I want to be able to offer more hands-on and exploratory activities in my class.

We are a Title I, low income (classified 100% free lunch school) school in Salinas, CA. Each year I want to be able to offer more than the year before because our students deserve the best.

My Project

My students enjoy hands-on learning and anything that is fun. First part of this project, I need Bingo games that go with our 6th-grade math concepts. These bingo games will be used to reinforce the learning that we are doing in class. The second part of this project is to have board games in the classroom. We need board games for rainy days, lunchtime recess, or free time in class. I need more board and card games that will engage the kids and have enough for my whole class to pick different games to play in class. I want my students to learn board or card games rather than be on the computer all the time.
