Our school is located in a small town in the far northeast corner of Oklahoma. My students come from diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds, and we are home to nine tribal nations. Our school is seeing more and more struggling families who need more and more public assistance. As our social workers strive to meet their physical needs, I as a teacher strive to engage their eager little minds.
My students are enthusiastic readers, calculating mathematicians, curious explorers, and creative thinkers.
They are eager learners who look forward to diving into our daily challenges.
My classroom is set up to meet the needs of each child. I
use a variety of strategies to engage all students in their learning. The day is divided into mini-lessons followed by hands-on activities, group work, and individual exploration opportunities to optimize learning and excite all students.
My Project
These interactive math CDs will be used to engage students during whole group instruction and small group centers. They will allow students to master a variety of math skills through engaging games played on a classroom SMART Board.

Students will be participating in lively game shows, racing to pop bubbles to solve basic addition, subtraction, and multiplication facts or engaging in skill-building games like Plinko.
All learners will be able to participate at a level that is appropriate for their individual needs. They will develop skills in operations, fractions, graphs, grids, data, measurement, geometry, place value, probability, number sense, telling time, counting money, algebra, and building patterns. Putting these games at my students' fingertips will make learning fun while ensuring success.
