My students need the most up-to-date math & science materials in order to gain the academic skills needed to be successful, such as DynaMath and SuperScience.
My students are eager to learn & I want to see all of them proficient by the end of the year. AR has new science standards but we do not have curriculum to go along with those standards. Scholastic is able to offer the most up-to-date materials that make learning interesting and FUN!!
Most of my students come from hard working families that do not have the financial ability to fund school projects and extras.
Our community has a lot of poverty but my students are eager to learn and it is my job to help get the resources needed to give them the most opportunities available in order for them to learn.
My Project
My students need the most up-to-date math & science materials in order to gain the academic skills needed to be successful, such as DynaMath and SuperScience. My students will be able to use the Scholastic Math and Science magazines in order to gain the most up-to-date knowledge in a relevant way. This will be a "hands-on" way to help my kinesthetic learners and well as my visual learners. They will be able to understand how math and science are used in everyday life. These magazines are great tools for students because not only are they child friendly but they are aligned with the standards and are loaded with information and vibrant color.
My students need to know that others care about them and their learning environment.
Donors will be able to come along side me by providing our classroom with the materials necessary to give my students relevant material in which to learn math and science.
