My Students

Our class is wonderfully unique. You see, we are a charter school for students on the Autism spectrum (and for other students who would benefit from our unique learning environment). The small class size allows us to provide individualized instruction for each student. Our goal is to help students reach their fullest potential academically, socially, and emotionally, which leads to productive and successful futures.

We are constantly adapting to meet the needs of our students.

Thankfully, technology has made this process much easier. Our students love to use technology in the classroom. They engage in their learning so much more when we can incorporate technological components. Students often can overcome some of the sensory and behavior issues they struggle with when we can provide a technology piece in their learning. It's amazing!

My Project

My students love to learn and play. Why not combine those to make learning fun?

With the past, current, and unfortunately probably future interruptions in learning, keeping kids' interest and motivation can be difficult, especially when the learning is in areas where students have previously struggled.

Math games and activities will make a great addition to our small group and morning work times when students have a bit more freedom to choose what they want to work on. Practicing social skills like turn-taking, peer tutoring, teaching, and communicating socially and academically make these resources perfect for my students.
