Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am a 1st grade teacher in Mobile, Alabama. My students are fun, loving, enthusiastic learners. They come to school excited and ready to learn. I encourage group activities in my classroom to promote teamwork. I feel these resources will help my students achieve these goals. They come to school and try their very best every day. I have 12 boys and 9 girls in my classroom. They are a sweet and diverse bunch of learners. My students are energetic and motivated to learn!

My Project

My students needs this essentials to ensure this year will get off to a great start. One of the biggest things that my students will need this year is letter building tiles. Each student will need his/her own set. These will be used in many different ways whether it is will be with me in small group building sight words, individually building their spelling words for the week, or during math creating their number words. These letter tiles will be used everyday in some way. We also need the hundreds board and addition materials to help the students during center time. Lastly, but surely not least my students need some essentials for classroom such as the testing dividers and paper center to help keep us organized and to ensure each student is completing their own work to their fullest ability.
