I am a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district. My students are faced with many challenges inside and outside of school. My goal is to ensure that every student is given the materials and resources needed to learn.
I greet every student by name at the door with a smile because I want each student to feel important.
When they are in my room, I focus on their potential and growth.

My Project
My students are needing math manipulatives and items like the Number Sequencing Puzzles so they can practicing putting their numbers in order, the Manuscript Number Stamps so they can stamp out their own math equations and the Magnetic Money that they can use on the whiteboard to show their answers and it serves as a great visual tool.
Financial literacy and Math are two very important subjects that every child needs and can benefit greatly from at any age.
As first graders, they tend to learn faster and obtain more knowledge when they are allowed to use their hands and work with objects that can guide them and challenge them as well.
