Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every day I get to share my classroom with a wonderful group of first graders! They are sweet, kind, funny, responsible, and caring students that are very eager to learn. My students continuously work hard and that makes my job so much more enjoyable. My students appreciate everything that they are provided and love to give compliments. Most of my students come from a low income home and do not have the resources at home that they need to be successful at school. I strive to set them up for success and help them in any way I can.
My Project
I have chose these materials because my students really need engaging centers that they can work on by themselves without needing direct supervision. I do not have an aide in my classroom so I need to provide my students with activities they can complete on their own. I have several struggling learners that need lots of support and these Power Pens would be a great resource to have. The Power Pens are very engaging also and will really motivate my students to complete the activities and practice essential skills that they need to become fluent readers. Any way that I can motivate my students to learn is a plus in my book!
