My Students

I have a wonderful and diverse group of students. I have over six different languages spoken in my classroom. Many of my students speak very little English and have just recently come to the United States as refugees from other countries. The diversity in the classroom can cause challenges for teaching, but it also makes my room unique and special. I wouldn't have it any other way.

My students love to learn, laugh and play.

They are curious, self-motivated learners who always want to know more.

My Project

We are requesting a nuts and bolts activity in which the students are practicing counting. They use the nuts and bolts to count to a given number. This game is self correcting so it will be great in an independent learning center. We are also asking for a similar nuts and bolts activity that focusing on sorting by different colors. This will also be used in a small learning center.

We are requesting a complete fine motor activity set that focuses on PreK math skills such as counting, patterns, and sorting.

These activities not only strengthen math skills but help students develop their fine motor skills. In each of these activities the students use animal tweezers to pick up and move the manipulatives.
