My students need two Ozobots, as well as magnetic ten-frames for our math instruction.
This project expired on May 9, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach at a Title I school where more than half of our students are part of the free or reduced rate lunch program, as well as our backpack program for meals over the weekend. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with meaningful experiences. These sweet kids come in each morning with big hugs and lots of stories to share. They are so eager to learn to learn even more about the world all around them!
As children create codes, draw paths for their bots to follow, and program their bots, they will be learning computer coding. Ozobots are the perfect tool for introducing young children to coding and technology related skills.
Our Ozobots will be used to motivate and excite my kindergarten class as they play, problem solve and create, all while learning to code.As these young children grow, they will be able to build upon the coding and technology related skills, which will have been gained through the use of Ozobots in kindergarten.
Hands on experiences with Ozobots will make learning coding fun and memorable for these young students.
We will also use the magnetic ten-frames for our math instruction to help create a more concrete examples of counting, addition, etc. for my students.
