My students need materials from dry erasers to write on white board, to sharpeners throughout the year to write and practice math.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is a high needs school as we are located in a very low income community. Our community struggles financially and it is hard for them to donate to our school.
Since our socioeconomic status is of primarily low income, our school qualifies for Title I funding, providing free and reduced breakfast and lunch.
I am asking for help to purchase the materials needed for my classroom, which benefits our students first and foremost! My students come first and meeting their needs to learn is important. They deserve to be stress free of distractions and not having to worry about having to purchase materials needed to learn.
My Project
Resources are important in any classrooms however the school budget does not always allow the purchase. Some of the resources I’m asking for my students are white boards with dry erasers, and sharpeners to sharpen pencils.
Student will use these white boards daily to write and solve math problems.
Showing work is important in math and white boards motivate students in their path to learning. We do not have functional sharpeners that sharpen pencils and I need a few to last at least one school year. I want to thank you in advance in supporting my student learning with materials readily present.
