My students are such hard workers from struggling families. They want to be successful and are excited to learn. They love learning through games and discussions. My students attend a Title I school and 56% receive free or reduced lunch prices. Their families don't have the money needed to buy educational materials for their students. My students are special because they are so motivated to learn both at home and at school, even though many of their parents are working multiple jobs and aren't around much.
My Project
I work at a Title I School, so many of my students' families can't afford school supplies. We need some essential school supplies including highlighters to help us closely read text, whiteboard markers to solve math problems on our personal white boards, glue sticks to assemble hands-on learning materials, a calendar, colored markers, and sticky notes to help keep us on track and know what is happening each month, and wet erase markers to allow us to reuse poster charts throughout the year. These supplies will be used by all of my students this year to help them maximize their learning and increase student success!
