My Students

Our grade-level consists of 110 kindergarteners who are creative, innovative, caring, and hard working. Although we are located in the heart of Silicon Valley, we have 42% of our students who come from families that are socio-economically challenged.

As a kindergarten teacher, my hope is to provide meaningful activities that will benefit all students and help them grow and foster their love of learning.

My classroom of 22 students come to school every day eager to learn. Although they all come from different backgrounds, they all enjoy working collaboratively and supporting one another.

My Project

The book bins will help our classroom have an organized library based on student's book levels. Students will be able to easily access books that they can read independently!

I believe that building a love of reading at a young age is extremely important and valuable for my students.

Listening to stories while having the hands-on experience of having the story in front of them and flipping the pages can help build this foundation. The CD player will allow students to listen to stories while also building their literacy skills such as concepts about print, comprehension, and understanding story elements.
