I currently am the Advanced Learning Program (formerly Gifted and Talented) teacher. Part of my curriculum is to build communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity with students in Kindergarten to 5th grade through STEM activities.
These students are energetic and excited to learn more through hands on activities and stories that go along with the activities we do.
The district I teach in is very diverse, and many of my students are very creative. In my position, I get to see all of our Kindergarten-Fifth Grade students.
My Project
Part of this project is to replace one of the white boards in my classroom. Unfortunately, one of the boards will no longer erase. The white board contact paper will replace the board so it's still usable!
As a STEM teacher who sees over 400 students a week, enough materials can be hard to come by.
Some of these materials on my list are to be used for activities coming up, but can be used for a variety of STEM activities at all ages.
I am also looking to get replacement parts for my well-loved Lego robotics kits: As well made as these kits are, some parts tend to disappear!
