My students need 1/8" by 1/8" balsa wood for construction and the Elegoo Complete Ultimate Starter Kit for electronics to expand the STEM learning projects for my class.
Written by my students - Upon entering our classroom you see that it’s a world of fun, curiosity and students passionate about learning in our world today. We’re all so productive in our class period that we don’t even notice the passage of time (and we never seem to have enough time to do all of the things we want to do). It’s just a place to come and have fun while learning.
We learn almost constantly, and work activities and projects to help us paint a clearer picture of what our future holds.
We all want to achieve our personal goals such as acquiring a STEM or STEAM career later in life, being the best in our graduating classes, and just making the world a better place.
My Project
My students are bright, talented adolescents that are full of curiosity and a desire to get their hands on technology and project. They love the idea of engineering and being middle school students they need tools (Elegoo Kit) and consumable materials (balsa wood) to have those hands-on STEM Projects. The balsa wood will be used for construction projects of bridges, gliders, and/or towers to hold weight. The Elegoo kit will allow my students to have some hands-on basic electronics understanding.
I am excited about this kit because it will allow my students to design, test, and redesign the structure and control of the robot.
It will help build confidence in their skills and abilities and which they will be able to apply later to more complicated STEM projects.
