My Students

This year I am looping up to third grade to enjoy another year teaching my last year students! I decided to do this because this kids are honestly so special. They are smart, they are kind, they are creative, and they are so ambitious. These kids deserve the absolute best because they are the absolute best. I want to be able to give them all the tools and materials for their education to really set them up for absolute success.

My Project

My school is AMAZING. The recess area, though, not so great. We serve Detroit scholars at our school. We haven't been able to get funding for a playscape for the children to play on. The students usually just run around a fenced in area with nothing else to do, which many times causes fighting. I really want to give them the materials they need for well deserved outside activities, exercise, and recess. Many of my students LOVE to play sports; soccer, basketball, football. I believe a flag football set will take the violence out of football so they can just have fun with it. Jump ropes, chalk, and hula hoops will accommodate students who don't like to play sports. My kiddos would be entirely grateful to have materials to play with and learn teamwork from while getting outdoors time.
